When life gives you lemons… coaching with a message

I didn’t always want to be a life coach and I certainly didn’t want to shine a light on me or my life, thank you very much.

I had at one point been very happy to be plodding along, not making any real ripples in life.

But life has a habit of giving you a kick up the bum when you’re not fulfilling your potential.

What brought me to life coaching?

The short answer, not being able to have children. Up until May 2017, my struggles with my infertility were kept under wraps. No-one except those that had a reason to know were informed, and those that didn’t know included my own parents.

That’s how closely guarded a secret it was – shrouded in shame and buried deep enough so that no-one could get close. It was an isolating and lonely experience, which saw me completely lose a sense of who I was.

That was until I came across the PURE coaching academy.

Little did I realise what a huge ripple effect it would have, but the moment I signed up, I knew it was something I needed to do because I had a message!

And since then, it’s been one hell of a ride, I can tell you! I’ve gone from not telling anyone about my struggles with infertility to telling the whole blooming world. It’s all over my website, it’s on Facebook and everyone in my life knows about it. I’m proud and passionate about supporting and empowering those that face the same issue, because I’m here for them every step of the way, having been there myself.

So, if you have a message, here are my top tips for getting it out there as a life coach:

  • Find your tribe
  • The sensitivity of your message will impact on how hard you have to go looking for your tribe. If you have ‘lived’ the message this will be easier than you think, because you’ll think the same way.
  • Don’t forget where you’ve come from
  • It’s easy to think you know it all because you’re getting a message out there, but you’re steps ahead of the people you’re trying to coach. Meet them where they are, and not where you are.
  • Don’t give up
  • You have a message, don’t let it slide. Engage with the passion and remember why you wanted to go down this path.
