How Much Does It Cost to Train as a Life Coach in the UK?
Let’s talk money. Because if you’re seriously considering training as a life coach, the cost is almost certainly one of the first questions on your mind – and one of the last things most training providers want to discuss openly.
Not us. I’ve been coaching for 25 years and I’ve learned that the people who ask this question directly are usually the ones worth answering.
What Does Life Coach Training Actually Cost?
The honest answer is that prices vary enormously – from a few hundred pounds for the most basic, unaccredited options, right up to £5,000 or more for longer, more academic programmes.
Here’s a rough guide to what you’ll find in the market:
- Budget options (under £500): Usually self-paced, online-only, unaccredited programmes. Some are perfectly decent as an introduction to coaching concepts, but they won’t give you a recognised qualification and they won’t give you supervised practice with real people.
- Mid-range (£1,000 – £3,000): This is where most reputable accredited courses sit. You’re paying for proper training, accredited qualifications, live sessions with experienced coaches and the kind of structure that actually prepares you to work with clients.
- Premium (£3,500 – £5,500+): Longer programmes, often 9-12 months, with more contact hours and sometimes additional qualifications. These can be excellent but the higher price doesn’t automatically mean better coaching outcomes.
What Does Pure Coaching Academy Cost?
Pure Coaching Academy is £2,995 on our early bird price, rising to £3,240 at full price – and I’ll be straightforward about how that compares to the market.
It places us firmly in the mid-range bracket, while offering what we believe is a genuinely premium experience. Our course is shorter than many at that price point – 8 intensive weeks rather than 9-12 months – but it’s accredited, entirely live and delivered by trainers with over 20 years of coaching experience each.

Is There a Payment Plan?
Yes – and we’ve tried to make it as accessible as possible.
For the Saturday course with me, you can spread the early bird cost over 5 monthly instalments of £599.
For the Friday course with Natalie, there’s a 5-month plan in GBP (£599 per month) or a 7-month plan in euros (€428 per month) for students paying in euros.
